The same problems come back every morning.
Every shift starts with a short meeting at the board: the previous shift’s safety, quality, delivery and cost, the problems that came up and who takes charge of each one. For it to work, someone has to bring the figures on time, write down each problem with its owner and check the next day whether it was solved. When that does not happen, the meeting becomes a formality: the board shows data from days ago, and the same problems come back every morning.
